Q) Besides the cost, what is the difference between a simple slideshow and a music video photomontage? A) In the slideshow, up to 99 of your photographs will appear on the screen for the same length of time (3 seconds, 5 seconds, your choice) set to music and using artful transitions. There are no titles, pans, scans or special effects. The music/video photomontage
is artistically developed with your consultation and input. We will study
your photos, discuss the subject matter with you and develop a theme which
will then be expressed through creatively weaving your photos together,
panning, scanning, using a variety of transitions, perhaps some special
effects and dramatically timing your photos to music from your favorite
era. Very likely, every one of your photos will not be used in this format.
Some may be used more than once and certainly the essence and arc of your
photos will be represented. We will use all the photos we need from those
submitted to fully develop the theme to create the very best music/video
photomontage. Please take the time to view a sample. As is often said,
a picture is worth a thousand words! A) The bottom line is that
you decide how long you want it to be. Of course, the number of photos
in the batch from which we are working plays a role as well as as the
tempo of the music used to enhance the theme. But, if you say no longer
than three minutes, then no longer than three minutes it will be. A) That's great. Since your photos are already in a digital format, scanning is unnecessary and you save that expense. Just send us the CD-ROM and we can work from that. Q) What if my photos are on my digital cameras memory stick? A) Most film developers now
can make a CD-ROM for you at minimal expense. Make two, send one to us
and keep one for yourself and we will work from the CD-ROM. A) Most PCs or MACs can burn
a CD-ROM from photos that exist on your hard drive. Burn one and send
it to us and we will work from the CD-ROM. A) Generally speaking, you should receive your finished DVD's in 2 to 4 weeks after receipt of your photos. Of course, the length, complexity of the project, and how much scanning must be done before we begin creating your slideshow or photomontage has a bearing on how long it takes. |
